Project anatomy
A project owns: - A BOQ — sections and line items, priced from your spec library. - Drawings — uploaded PDFs you can reference from sections. - A manifest — a structured list of what's being built, used to drive section generation. - Documents — generated outputs (Excel, PDF) and templates.
Naming
Project names are free-text. We recommend <client> — <site> for at-a-glance recognition in the projects list. Names can be changed any time without breaking links.
Status
A project moves through three states: - Draft — being built, not for distribution. - Issued — sent to a client or contractor. - Archived — completed; read-only and hidden from the default project list.
Deleting a project
Admins can delete projects from the project settings tab. Deleting removes the BOQ, drawings, and manifest. Use Archive instead if you might need to refer back.
